Vendors sell their handmade items at these events. They are held outdoors on a Saturday in November and April. There is no charge for this event.

A Christmas Party for children ages 2 to 12. The children can have their photo taken with Santa, make an ornament, listen to stories, and write a letter to Santa. Snacks, drinks, and special treats are provided. This is a fun event for children.

The club does a cookie handout at one of the two walk nights. Cookies are provided by members. A donation box is displayed on the cookie table and all donations raised are given to help the Fig Garden Homeowners Association with Lane expenses for the year.

A festive holiday dinner utilizing members’ decorated tables from the previous day’s General Meeting. It is held the evening after the December meeting. Members often invite friends and family to join them in this non-hosted event.

FGWC holds one card party a year. This is a winter fundraising event and a lot of fun. Attendees can take part in Bridge, Bunco, and Mah jongg. Lunch is served, and participants are given the opportunity to win raffle prizes.

This is a major fundraiser for FGWC which is a three-day event held in the spring. Vendors purchase space in our Clubhouse to sell their antiques, memorabilia, and collectibles. Members contribute collectible items for our silent auction table. Salads, sandwiches, and pie are available for purchase.

This spring event is our gift to the community. Invitations and flyers are distributed to the local community. While enjoying a beautiful traditional high tea, guests have the opportunity to enjoy members’ decorated tables and their artistic displays.

Our Fashion Show fundraiser is held in February. We feature local business’ fashions and use members as models. Ticket price includes an afternoon of lunch, fashions, and an opportunity to bid on Silent Auction items. The event is open to the public.

We have two little libraries at Mental Health Systems. Appropriate books are provided to the children’s and the adult libraries each month. The books are donated or purchased with funds given to FGWC.

This project is conducted at Rescue the Children which is a division of the Fresno Rescue Mission. Our volunteer members have been reading a minimum of once a month with the children since 2015. Readings are held every Wednesday and Friday throughout the year.

This is a great way to keep connected over the summer. Participation is optional. This is an opportunity to join other members and their friends for lunch at many of the restaurants in the Fresno/Clovis area. Non-hosted prices vary.

Here’s an opportunity to play bridge every month. Scores are accumulated over the year, with prizes presented in the spring at the Marathon Luncheon. Participants must join the group prior to the schedule being set in the fall.

FGWC holds two coffees a year. It is an opportunity to gather in a member’s home to get to know other members. The committee provides finger foods and refreshments.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, September through May. The General Meeting includes lunch, a guest speaker, and a business meeting.
